Ukrainian forces in the area of responsibility of the Skhid group of troops are holding positions in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration, inflicting significant losses on the Russian forces, spokesperson of the Skhid operational command, Hryhorii Shapoval, said.

Directly in Pokrovsk itself, search-and-assault operations and elimination of the enemy in urban areas are ongoing. Ukrainian forces hold the northern part of the city. In Myrnohrad, Russian forces are being eliminated on the outskirts of the city.

“To contain the enemy, the city’s defense has been reinforced with additional forces and resources. Logistics remain complicated. Measures are being taken to expand logistical corridors to Myrnohrad to strengthen our capabilities,” said Shapoval.

Overall, in the area of responsibility of the Skhid group of troops e Russian forces lost a large number of personnel. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are paying particular attention to destroying Russian drone operators.

“We are eliminating Russian invaders. Combat operations continue,” the spokesperson summarized. Artem Prybylnov, head of the communications department of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade, says that Russian forces have been continuously assaulting and attempting flanking maneuvers by pushing through the Hryshyne area.

“Since the beginning of the new year, the Russian army has been increasing pressure, characterized by constant assaults. Frontal attacks are not yielding results for the Russian troops, so they are trying to act through flanking routes – pushing through the area of the settlement of Hryshyne. There have been continuous assaults there, with Russian forces attempting to advance primarily at night, during the so-called ‘grey zone’ period when visibility is limited,” commented the head of the communications department of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
