Fighting on the front continues. Defense forces recently advanced in the Kostyantynivka-Druzhkivka tactical area.
But the occupiers managed to achieve some success in the Oleksandrivka direction. The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported on the situation on the battlefield.
Sumy region
In Sumy region, the Russians failed to achieve confirmed progress as a result of offensive operations on April 12.

However, one of the Russian military bloggers began to say that the occupiers had allegedly advanced south of Yunakivka and Varachyne.
On April 11 and 12, Russian troops attacked in Sumy and Kursk regions , in particular northeast of Sumy in the direction of Myropylya and southwest of Glushkovo near Kucherov (Kursk region).
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that Ukrainian troops counterattacked from Novaya Sich.
Kharkiv region
The Russians had also attacked the north of the Kharkiv region the day before – without result.
Over the past two days, the occupiers have attacked near Veterinarne and near Synelnyky, Starytsia, Izbitsky, Vovchansk, Prylypki, and Vovchanskiye Khutory.
Neither Ukrainian nor Russian sources reported any ground activity in the direction of Velyky Burluk.

On April 12, Russian troops continued offensive operations in the Kupyansk direction, but did not advance.
Analysts, meanwhile, have refuted previous claims about the Russian army’s control over the center of Kurylivka: geolocation videos recorded Ukrainian positions there.
On April 11 and 12, Russian troops attacked near Kupyansk, Petropavlivka, and Podoliv, as well as in the direction of Novoosynovo.
The occupiers also tried to break through the Ukrainian defenses near Shyykivka (east of Borova), but failed.
Donetsk region


On April 12, Russian troops continued offensive operations in the Slavyansk direction, but did not advance.
On April 11 and 12, Russian troops attacked near Lyman, Drobyshevye, Stavki, and Zarechny. They also attacked in the Slavyansk area: near Platonovka, Ozernye, Kalenykivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Fedorivka Druha.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces have recently advanced on the Kostyantynivka-Druzhkivka tactical direction. Advances have been recorded west of Stupochky and in the eastern part of Kostyantynivka.


The Russians infiltrated Kostyantynivka, Dovha Balka, and southwest of Illinivka, where they were attacked by the Defense Forces. These Russian infiltration missions did not change control of the terrain or the front line of the combat zone.
Russian troops attacked near Kostyantynivka itself, as well as near Markovoye and Chasovoye Yar, near Ivano-Frankivsk, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Rusyny Yar, near Sofiivka and Novopavlivka.
East of Dobropillya, limited Russian ground attacks have been recorded in the last two days in the direction of Kucherovoy Yar and near Dorozhne. These attacks did not bring the enemy success.
On April 12, Russian troops also continued offensive operations in the Pokrovsky direction, but did not advance.

Meanwhile, Russian propaganda claimed that Russian troops had allegedly advanced northwest of Rodynske.
On April 11 and 12, Russian troops attacked near Hryshyn, Rodynskyi, and Bilytskyi, as well as near Zatyshk, Myrnograd, Udachny, and Molodetskyi.
On April 11 and 12, Russian troops continued offensive operations near Novopavlivka and Muravka, but did not advance.
However, in the Oleksandrivka direction, the Russians recently managed to advance south of Novohrygorivka. This is confirmed by video footage published on April 10.
Over the next two days, the Russian army attacked near Zeleny Gay, Aleksandroslavl, and Sichneve, in the direction of Kalynivske, Verbovye, Ternovoye, Pryvillye, and Novohrygorivka.
A Russian military blogger claimed that Ukrainian forces counterattacked near Oleksandrovgrad before the “truce” began at 4:00 PM on April 11. And the Russian Defense Ministry complained about Ukrainian counterattacks in the direction of Gay and Otradne, south of Oleksandrivka.
Zaporizhia region
On April 12, Russian troops continued offensive operations in the Hulyaipil direction, but did not advance.

On April 11 and 12, Russian troops attacked near Hulyaipol, as well as near Olenokostyantynivka, Varvarivka, Solodke, Hulyaipolske, and Myrne, in the direction of Charivne, near Zaliznychne, and in the direction of Staroukrainka.
There were no reports of fighting in the west of Zaporizhia region on April 12.

However, on April 12, Ukrainian military observer Kostyantyn Mashovets reported that Ukrainian forces had been conducting clearing operations in Stepnohirsk (northwest of Orekhov) for the past week (since approximately April 5), and that Ukrainian forces still held positions along both banks of the Yanchekrak River between Kamyanske and Stepov.
And Russian military bloggers claimed that Ukrainian troops counterattacked in the direction of Bilogirya (and near Rychne on April 11 and 12.
During these same two days, Russian forces continued limited ground attacks east of Kherson towards Antonivskyi Bridge and southwest of Kherson towards Belogrudy Island, but made no progress.

As OBOZ.UA wrote, the other day ISW confirmed that Ukrainian troops had recently advanced in four directions of the front.
Analysts also said that Russia has activated strategic reserves and explained in which direction the enemy is launching an offensive.
