The Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SOF) launched a campaign about resistance in the rear of the Russian invaders.

The SOF released a video showing resistance forces working in occupied Yevpatoria city in Crimea.

The SOF also mentioned that individuals interested in joining these forces must fill out an application on the resistance’s website.

The SOF has been organizing the resistance movement in the temporarily occupied territories for a long time.

The Special Operations Forces are a separate branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which includes special forces units and information and psychological special operations units.

They are staffed by specially trained professionals with special capabilities in the areas of intelligence, direct action, and military support to carry out complex, dangerous, and sometimes politically sensitive operations.

One of the most important and difficult tasks of the SOF is to organize the resistance movement in the temporarily occupied territories.

Its organization is a complex system, but it is also very efficient and effective.

The resistance movement consists of:

  • resistance forces;
  • underground resistance;
  • auxiliary forces that specialize in, but are not limited to, non-violent resistance.

According to the decision of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, “other forces and means of the security and defense forces may be involved in the execution of the tasks of the Resistance Movement in coordination with the heads of the command and control bodies of the relevant security and defense forces”.

The Russian invasion forces have failed to neutralize the organized partisan movement of Ukraine and are unlikely to do so in the future.

In January, the resistance movement in Russia burned down several facilities on the railroad, which is used for the invaders’ logistics.

  1. “The Russian invasion forces have failed to neutralize the organized partisan movement of Ukraine and are unlikely to do so in the future.”

    The Germans in WWII also tried to neutralize Ukraine’s partisans during the entire occupation period and also failed.
