On the night of April 5, numerous explosions erupted in the Nizhny Novgorod region of the Russian Federation after an airstrike was declared. Ukrainian drones attacked the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery in the city of Kstovo.
A major fire broke out at the scene after the attack. Footage of the aftermath of the attack is being published by monitoring Telegram channels.
Details of the operation
An airstrike in the Nizhny Novgorod region was declared just after midnight. Shortly after, explosions began to ring out in the region, and local authorities announced the operation of air defenses and threatened Russians with criminal liability for publishing photos and videos of the aftermath.
Nizhny Novgorod Region Governor Gleb Nikitin said this morning that “air defense forces repelled an attack by 30 enemy UAVs” over the industrial zone of the Kstovsky district. The official acknowledged that two facilities at the Lukoil-Nizhny Novgorodnefteorgsynthesz refinery were damaged. However, he suggested that the fires started “as a result of falling debris.”

It also became known that the Novogorkivsk CHP and several residential buildings were damaged. The regional authorities write that they are trying to restore power supply to consumers, and emergency services are “eliminating the consequences of the incident.”
According to the NASA FIRMS portal, as of the morning of April 5, a large-scale fire was recorded on the territory of the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnaftoorgsintez oil refinery in the city of Kstovo.

What is known about the company?
The Lukoil-Nizhegorodnaftoorgsintez oil refinery is one of the largest and most technologically significant oil refining enterprises in Russia. Since the beginning of the Russian Federation’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the facility has become a strategic target due to its critical role in the economy and supply of the army.
The plant is the fourth largest in terms of refining capacity in the Russian Federation and the second largest in the Lukoil group. The processing capacity is about 17 million tons of oil per year. The enterprise provides about 10–11% of all automobile gasoline production in Russia. The refinery also covers about 30% of the fuel needs of Moscow and the Moscow region.

The enterprise produces aviation kerosene, diesel fuel, and Euro-5 gasoline. According to intelligence, a significant part of the products is directly contracted for the needs of the Russian Ministry of Defense and supplies to Putin’s army.
In addition to fuel, the refinery produces bitumen, paraffins, and fuel oil, which are used in the construction of military infrastructure and related industries. Given its importance, the plant is regularly targeted by Ukrainian UAVs.
As a reminder, on the night of April 4, powerful explosions thundered in the Russian city of Togliatti. There, Ukrainian drones attacked the Togliattikauchuk chemical enterprise. According to preliminary information, the plant was hit by An-196 “Lyuty” drones.
As OBOZ.UA reported, for the second time since the beginning of the month, Ukrainian troops have struck the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant in Luhansk Oblast. The enemy target was attacked by FP-2 drones from Fire Point.

I guess Ukraine are not listening to the pro russian trash that are whining about the price of oil. There is no price on murdered children. Even these fake christians should know that.
It’s never going to change in certain sick minds; the price of fuel is more important than the price of human blood, even if it pours from the lacerated and crushed bodies of children.
Despite certain critical voices from certain marshmallow lands, Ukraine is keeping the mafia state burning!
I hope Ukraine drive the price of oil through the roof. Mafia land are in no position to take advantage of it.
I want to see every mafia oil depot and refinery go up in blazes, no matter what the price at the pump wil be.
