The Ukrainian Defense Forces have received new high-speed JEDI Shahed Hunter interceptor drones.
The system has already been certified by the Ministry of Defense and cleared for operational use, according to the Ministry of Defense.
This is a Ukrainian-made unmanned aerial system designed to intercept enemy drones.
In particular, it is capable of destroying attack drones such as the Shahed, Geran, and Gerbera.
It has also been stated that the system can intercept Zala and Supercam reconnaissance drones.

The JEDI Shahed Hunter is a vertical takeoff copter-type drone.
The aircraft is equipped with four electric motors, a lightweight frame, and a high-capacity battery.
Technical specifications of the JEDI Shahed Hunter
- Vertical takeoff
- Weight — 4 kg
- Speed up to over 350 km/h
- Capable of reaching an altitude of up to 6 km
- Day and thermal imaging cameras for round-the-clock operation
The drone receives target designations from radar stations and can automatically lock onto targets.
The system is capable of covering an airspace within a radius of up to 40 km, strengthening countermeasures against Russian drones.

Ukrainian drones recently destroyed a Shahed warehouse near Donetsk.

“The drone receives target designations from radar stations and can automatically lock onto targets.”
The speed is one important factor, the service ceiling is another, and the quote above makes this drone potentially a real hit. I wish to see a 100% downing rate against terrorist drones.
