Ukrainian Armed Forces hit an oil terminal in southern Russia and a Pantsir-S1 air defense missile and gun system in Crimea: details of the special operations

February 15, 2026

Ukrainian forces launched a new series of strikes against important military and strategic enemy targets. The Tamanneftegaz oil terminal was attacked in Krasnodar Krai, and a Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system was destroyed in occupied Crimea.

The operation was carried out as part of a series of measures to reduce the offensive and economic potential of the Russian aggressor, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Operation details

According to the General Staff, damage has been confirmed at the Tamanneftegaz oil terminal near the village of Volna in the Krasnodar Krai. A fire has been detected at the facility. The extent of the damage is being determined.

Additionally, an enemy Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system was successfully destroyed near the village of Kacha. Over the past 24 hours, enemy targets in other areas were also hit.

Specifically, a repair unit from a Russian artillery brigade was hit near Vilne in the Donetsk region. A hit was also recorded near Lyubimovka in the Zaporizhzhia region, hitting an enemy manpower concentration. Enemy casualties and damage are being assessed.

“The Ukrainian Defense Forces will continue systematically working to deplete the enemy’s combat capabilities and destroy its military infrastructure until Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine is completely stopped,” the General Staff reported.

The Pantsir-S1 is a Russian self-propelled, short-range anti-aircraft missile and gun system. It plays a dual role in the war against Ukraine: on the one hand, it is one of Russia’s most effective counter-drone systems, and on the other, it is one of the most high-priority and vulnerable targets for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Due to regular attacks on Russian oil refineries and airfields, a significant number of the systems were removed from the front and deployed around Moscow (including installation on the roofs of Defense Ministry buildings and special towers).

The situation for this system has deteriorated sharply over the past year. According to official statements from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and OSINT analysts, by 2025, the SBU’s Alpha special forces unit had destroyed approximately half (48-50%) of all Pantsir-S1 systems in Russia’s possession. Russia produces approximately 30 Pantsirs per year, but the rate of destruction in 2025 significantly exceeded the military-industrial complex’s capacity to replenish them.

The price of one unit is approximately $13–15 million (export versions are more expensive). Total losses of Russian air defense systems by 2025 are estimated in the billions of dollars.

As a reminder, a series of explosions rocked the Russian city of Michurinsk in the Tambov region on the night of February 12. Preliminary reports indicate that drones struck the Progress plant of the aggressor state, which supplies the Russian defense industry.

OBOZ.UA previously reported that in late December, the General Staff confirmed the destruction of the oil terminal in Taman. On the night of December 22, Ukrainian forces struck not only the Tamanneftegaz terminal but also a floating craft base in temporarily occupied Crimea, an ammunition depot, and attack drone storage sites in the occupied part of Donetsk Oblast.
