Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a Russian military facility near Dzhankoy, Crimea: satellite photos

06/10/2024

The network showed satellite photos of a military facility destroyed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Dzhankoy in temporarily occupied
Crimea. It is difficult to determine exactly the type of equipment affected, but it is likely that we are talking about the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile battalion.

Satellite images from Planet Labs were published in Telegram “Schemes”. They show the consequences of a large-scale fire near the railway in Dzhankoy. Ukrainian forces struck the peninsula on the night of June 10.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces commented on the attack , noting that the enemy did not intercept any of the fired missiles with its “highly effective” air defense. Schemes journalists noted that the quality of satellite images does not allow us to accurately determine the type of equipment affected, but it is clear that the object appeared here in May 2024, and soon fortifications were also built nearby.

The General Staff also noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit two S-300 anti-aircraft missile divisions located near Chernomorskoye and Yevpatoriya in occupied Crimea. After the strikes of the Ukrainian missilemen in the Bavovna areas, an immediate cessation of the operation of the complexes’ radars was recorded.

As OBOZ.UA reported:

– On the night of June 10 , explosions were heard in several areas in Crimea, temporarily captured by Russian troops . In the village of Mikhailovka in the Saki region, the light disappeared, and near Naumovka the invaders’ target could be under attack. Four missiles arrived in Yevpatoriya along a vertical trajectory.

– On June 8 , explosions also occurred in different parts of the temporarily occupied Crimea . It was loud, in particular, in Balaklava, Sevastopol and Kerch.
