In general, the situation in the Middle East is greatly distracting the attention of world leaders from Ukraine.
The war in Iran distracts world leaders from Ukraine and reduces the amount of weapons available to it.
This was stated by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, Reuters reports. “This also distracts political attention from important issues. For us, obviously, as Ukraine’s neighbors, the result of the heroic defense of Ukrainians against Russian aggression is very important,” the minister noted.
He particularly expressed concern about the impact of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East on arms supplies to Ukraine. Sikorsky noted that a huge number of cruise missiles and anti-missile weapons are being used in the operation against Iran, and this does not play in Ukraine’s favor at all:
“What was used will definitely not be available for transfer or even sale to Ukraine. This is a sad but inevitable outcome.”
