Ukraine is currently testing several types of domestically developed microwave weapons.
Brave1 CEO Andrii Hrytseniuk shared this on the Militarnyi’s “To Arms!” broadcast.
These weapons use powerful electromagnetic radiation in the microwave range to disable equipment, including drones.
“Microwave weapons are more complex, because Ukraine hasn’t had a strong expertise in this field. But we are already conducting some tests,” Hrytseniuk said.
He did not provide further details or share the test results.
Meanwhile, it is worth noting that high‑power microwave emitters are expected to become a new weapon for countering unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).

Currently, these are the only weapon systems capable of engaging multiple drones simultaneously, offering a low cost per “shot” and a potentially “unlimited ammunition supply.” Such systems direct electromagnetic waves that disrupt drone electronics, effectively burning them out from the inside.
The rapid global development of these technologies, along with increasing power and reduced size, is making such systems more portable and enabling their integration onto various platforms.

In particular, in August 2025, the American Epirus company conducted a demonstration of the Leonidas (IFPC‑HPM) microwave system, designed to destroy unmanned aerial vehicles.

Microwaved orcs sounds good to me.
Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Such weapons would be a tremendous help in destroying the enemy’s drones, both over the cities and on the battlefield. I hope Ukraine will be successful in this endeavor, as it has been with so many others.
