Ukraine returns 200 defenders from Russian captivity (photo)

The defenders of Mariupol, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhia are returning.

Today, March 5, 200 Ukrainian soldiers returned home from Russian captivity, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced.

“Today, 200 Ukrainian families received the most anticipated message: their relatives are returning home. And this is always good news for all of us, for the entire country – the return of our people to their native land. Among those returning are the defenders of Mariupol, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia. Soldiers of the Armed Forces, the State Special Transport Service, border guards and National Guardsmen,” he wrote.

The Head of State thanked the United States for its support in implementing this exchange.

“I am grateful to all our soldiers who are at the front ensuring the replenishment of the exchange fund for Ukraine. The return of our people home is the result of the strength of Ukrainian defenders,” Zelenskyy noted.
