Five different scenarios were tested, and in all cases the “red” team led by Ukrainians won

An international naval group led by Ukraine during the NATO exercise “REPMUS/Dynamic Messenger 2025”, acting as an “adversary”, exposed the vulnerability of NATO naval forces and “sunk” at least one allied frigate, reports Frankfurter Allgemeine .
It is indicated that a Ukrainian who directly participated in the exercises told the newspaper that in five scenarios off the coast of Portugal, they practiced the defense of ports and convoys, as well as attacking convoys.
It is added that in all five scenarios, the “reds”, led by Ukrainians, defeated the “blues” – NATO naval forces. They used Ukrainian Magura V7 naval drones, i.e. small unmanned high-speed boats that attack them with the help of weapons installed on them.
The publication noted that since the start of the large-scale Russian offensive in 2022, the Ukrainian fleet, lacking large ships, has driven the occupiers out of the western Black Sea with the help of such naval drones, as well as guided missiles and other weapons.
For example, in April 2022, the missile cruiser Moskva, the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, was sunk.
The article states that after this incident, the Russian fleet was forced to move its main base from Sevastopol in occupied Crimea to Novorossiysk, located further east. However, in December 2025, a Ukrainian underwater drone attacked a Russian submarine in that port.
According to a source from Ukraine, the “red” team on “REPMUS/Dynamic Messenger 2025” consisted of American, British, Spanish and other units, with Ukraine providing overall leadership.

But Ukraine can’t join NATO. Actually, it should be NATO joining Ukraine…
So a country with no navy, defeats the NATO navy? Is there anyone with a brain taking notes?
