In Maykop, Russia, on the night of March 13, there were complaints about a drone attack. Dozens of
explosions were heard in the area of the city, and Russian air defense was also operating.
Eyewitnesses claim that the Khansk military airfield was attacked. This is reported by local Adygea publics, as well as the Ukrainian Telegram channels Supernova+ and Exilenova+.
What is known
The so-called “drone danger” in Adygea was declared before midnight. And closer to the morning, local social media began writing about a “series of shots.”
“Local residents said that the active work of the air defense is still ongoing – in total, about two dozen explosions have thundered in different areas of Maikop. According to eyewitnesses, the explosions are shaking windows in apartments, and car alarms are going off. Sirens are wailing in some areas,” one of the channels noted.

The Z-public, popular among Russians, clarifies: “numerous explosions” were heard over Maykop, and ten drones were allegedly destroyed.
The attack began at around 02:50 local time, and an hour later the air defenses were still operating.
“In total, about two dozen explosions have already been heard in different areas of Maykop, and there are also reports of alarm sirens,” the channel wrote.

Russian propagandists did not write anything about the probable target of the attack. However, according to Supernova+ and Exilenova+, the Khansk military airfield could have been attacked: more than 10 explosions were heard in the area of this facility. Judging by the video from surveillance cameras, there were indeed flights.

Judging by the comments in Adyghe public forums, local residents do not really believe in Russian air defense.
“There is only one official information. Everything was shot down, debris fell,” wrote one of the users.

And he was right. The Russian Defense Ministry managed to announce the “destruction” of 175 Ukrainian drones overnight. Of these, 29 were allegedly shot down over Adygea.
As OBOZ.UA reported, fuel tanks have caught fire in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation. The Tikhoretsk oil transshipment depot, which was attacked by the Defense Forces, has been burning for over a day.
The GUR also told what enemy targets were hit in occupied Crimea.
