The US president says Iran can still make a nuclear deal.
Markets will react positively if Israel’s strikes on Iran result in a reduction in its nuclear capabilities, US President Donald Trump said in a commentary to The Wall Street Journal .
“I think ultimately it would be great for the market because Iran would not have nuclear weapons. It would be great for the market – it would have to be the best thing for the market. Iran would not have nuclear weapons, which was a great threat to humanity,” the White House chief stressed.
He called the operation against Iran “a very successful attack, to put it mildly.”
“I told the other side you have 60 days to make a deal. On the 61st day they attacked. Today is actually the 61st day, and it was a very successful attack. They had to make a deal, and they can still make a deal, as long as they have something left, they still can,” Trump said.
He also confirmed that he spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday and plans to speak with him again on Friday.
