The administration of US President Donald Trump has approved the sale of 3,350 Extended Range Attack Munition (ERAM) air-launched missiles to Ukraine .
The Wall Street Journal , citing U.S. officials, reported that the Trump administration approved the sale last week. The missiles are expected to arrive in Ukraine in about six weeks.
At the same time, several US officials said that Ukraine would need Pentagon approval to use ERAM, which has a range of 150 to 280 miles (240-450 km).
The publication recalls that the Biden administration supplied Ukraine with hundreds of ATACMS complexes starting in 2023. Restrictions on the use of ATACMS on Russian territory, initially imposed under Biden, were lifted in the fall of 2024 after North Korean troops entered the war on Russia’s side.
The last ATACMS complexes authorized for shipment to Ukraine by the Biden administration arrived in the spring, and, according to officials, Kyiv has only a small stockpile left.

Meanwhile, the WSJ writes that the Pentagon has been blocking Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles to strike Russian territory for several months. It is noted that at least once Ukraine tried to use ATACMS against a target in Russia, but was denied.
The publication writes that the Pentagon refused to issue permission to carry out the attacks because the White House was trying to convince Moscow to start peace talks.

BS. It is because of cowardice. If Ukraine buys weapons they should be allowed to use them as they see fit. If you buy a car, the seller doesn’t have right to tell you where you can drive and where you can’t, and I don’t see any restrictions on NK missiles being used by mafia land.
