New reporting reveals ICE has lowered recruitment standards so severely that some DHS officials admit new agents can’t read or write — while slashing training from five months to just 47 days, allegedly to honor Donald Trump as the 47th president. DHS claims nothing was cut from training, which is mathematically impossible. Combined with Kristi Noem blocking Congress from oversight and a deadly ICE shooting already raising alarms, this exposes a dangerous reality: undertrained, poorly vetted agents are being armed, protected, and unleashed with no accountability.
