Today, Hungary votes.
I’ve spent the past few days on the ground in Budapest and beyond, trying to understand what this moment really feels like. I’ve spoken to voters, media analysts, artists, and organisers. I’ve been inside the atmosphere of Orbán’s rallies, stood outside his estate, and walked through the energy of the counter-protests.
After 16 years in power, Viktor Orbán faces what many are calling the most important election in Europe in decades. And as the day unfolds, there’s a growing sense that something significant could be shifting.
This is a snapshot of a country at a crossroads. Not the headlines, not the spin, but the feeling on the ground.
My full report will be out tomorrow, once the results are in and the dust settles.

1956 is an early example of the total failure of the west to punish RuZZia appropriately for its hideous crimes.
And we’re still failing today.
OrbanaZi is a Nazi dictator poncing off the EU whilst working for putlerstan. Shame on the EU for tolerating this cucking funt for 16 years.
Orbanistan should still be kicked out of the EU, regardless of the outcome of this election.
If it’s free and fair, Magyar; himself scum, will win.
But OrbaaZi knows how to fix an election.
And he has trumputler in his corner.
Caolan is; subconsciously no doubt, auditioning for a big gig with an outfit like the BBC. He is an outstanding reporter.
His communication skills are such that he might be able to turn at least some of the more casual putlerites to switch sides.
I agree. Hungary is incompatible with democracy. It should not be in the EU or in NATO.
