2026 just started, but it’s already shaping up to be a terrible year for Russia. Already teetering due to their war in Ukraine, this is the year that attrition will catch up with Russia in a major way. Their energy infrastructure is being attacked more and more every day, their economy is crumbling, their ability to recruit soldiers is weakening, and so much more. On top of that, they could potentially lose two major strategic partners in Iran and Venezuela. And as all of this happens, Ukraine’s ability to resist is only becoming greater. Let’s take a look at the major things that will impact the war this year.
