Over the past 24 hours, 58 military clashes took place on the Ukrainian front. The defense forces were most ardent in the Novopavlovsk direction, where soldiers repelled almost three dozen Russian attacks.

The settlements of Bolshaya Pisarevka, Staraya Guta, Ryzhevka, Popovka, Yamnoye, Aleksandrovka, Lugovka in the Sumy region were subjected to air strikes on March 16; Staritsa, Liptsy – Kharkov; Novoegorovka – Lugansk; Disputed, Vesyoloye, Razdolevka, Chasov Yar, Druzhba, Alexandropol, Semenovka, Umanskoye, Ocheretino, Krasnogorovka, Konstantinovka, Georgievka, Novomikhailovka, Vodyanoe, Urozhainoye, Makarovka, Bolshaya Novoselka – Donetskaya. About 140 settlements of Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov, Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk, Kherson and Nikolaev regions were under artillery fire.
In the Volyn and Polesie directions, the operational situation remains without significant changes. In Seversky and Slobozhansky, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, carries out sabotage activities in order to prevent our troops from being thrown into threatening directions, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the border in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. Near the settlements of Staraya Guta and Bruski, Sumy region, Ukrainian soldiers stopped two attempts to penetrate Russian DRGs.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian army did not conduct offensive (assault) operations. On Limansky, defenders repelled one Russian attack near Belogorivka, Lugansk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled five attacks by the invaders in the areas of Ivanovsky, Kleshchievka and east of Chasovoy Yar, Donetsk region. On Avdeevsky, 11 attacks by the Russian Armed Forces were repelled in the areas of the settlements of Berdich, Tonenkoye, Pervomaiskoye and Nevelskoye.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to contain the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Georgievka, Novomikhailovka and east of Vodyanoye, Donetsk region, where the invaders tried to break through the defenses of our troops 28 times.
In the Orekhovsky direction, the invaders attacked the positions of our defenders four times near Rabotino and north-west of Verbovoy, Zaporozhye region. In Kherson, the occupiers do not abandon their intention to dislodge Ukrainian units from their bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper – over the past 24 hours they have carried out two assaults on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
At the same time, the Defense Forces continue to actively inflict losses on the occupation forces in manpower and equipment, depleting the enemy along the entire front line. The day before, combat aircraft struck four areas where the Russian Armed Forces were concentrated ; units of the missile forces hit the command post, two areas where the occupiers were concentrated and their air defense systems.
As OBOZ.UA reported, according to the Institute for the Study of War, Russian troops advanced beyond Avdiivka, allegedly capturing the villages of Tonenkoe and Nevelskoe. The occupiers are resorting to innovations in this area, replacing classic infantry “meat assaults” with attacks using armored vehicles in order to increase pressure on the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
