Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out an operation on the territory of the aggressor country with the aim of reducing its military-economic potential. As a result, they managed to hit the Tamanneftegaz oil terminal in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, the attacks were carried out on a floating base in Crimea, an ammunition depot, and storage sites for strike drones in the Donetsk region.
“On the night of December 22, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Tamanneftegaz oil terminal in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation,” the report says.
The attack caused a series of explosions at the facility. Damage to a pipeline, two piers and at least two ships was reported, as well as a fire covering an area of over 1,000 square meters. A fire also broke out in the area of the tank farm.
What is known about the object?
“Tamanneftegaz” is the operator of the Taman transshipment complex, which specializes in the transshipment of crude oil, petroleum products and liquefied hydrocarbon gases. This terminal is part of the energy infrastructure of the Russian Federation and provides the financial and logistical needs of the military operations of the occupation forces.
Defense Forces operations in Crimea and Donetsk region
According to the General Staff, a Ukrainian missile also hit a temporary base for vessels of the 92nd River Boat Brigade in Olenivka (Crimea). A large-scale fire was recorded in the area of the impact, and the extent of the damage is being clarified.
In addition, in order to partially disrupt the enemy’s logistical support in the Pokrovsky direction, a strike was carried out on the ammunition depot of the motorized rifle regiment in the Ukrainian military district of Donetsk region. According to preliminary data, the facility was destroyed.
Finally, Ukrainian defense forces struck at locations for storing, preparing, and launching strike drones in the area of temporarily occupied Donetsk. A fire broke out at the site of the attack, and information on the extent of the damage is being clarified.
“The defense forces continue to take all measures to undermine the military-economic potential of the Russian occupiers and force the Russian Federation to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine,” the message states.
Recall that on the night of December 22, according to Russian public media, explosions were heard in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation. Damage was reported to a pipeline, two berths, and two ships in the area of the Taman port and the village of Volna on the coast of the Taman Peninsula.
As OBOZ.UA wrote, on the night of December 17, at least two regions of the Russian Federation – Saratov Oblast and Krasnodar Krai – were attacked by UAVs. Later, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that the Defense Forces of Ukraine had carried out another successful operation on the territory of the aggressor country. As a result, the Slavyanskyi oil refinery in the city of Slavyansk-on-Kuban in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation was hit.
