🇩🇪🇺🇦German AfD Leader Criticizes Aid to Ukraine, Demands Repayment

Alice Weidel, leader of Germany’s far-right AfD party, sharply criticized the German government’s support for Ukraine, highlighting over €70 billion in aid and weapons supplied to Kyiv.

Weidel questioned the potential deployment of German soldiers, echoing concerns from CDU leader Friedrich Merz, and warned against repeating historical mistakes, including the risk of German tanks engaging Russia.

She also stated that the AfD will demand repayment of the billions spent, as well as compensation for damage to the Nord Stream pipeline.

Of course she does..

The Afd is therefore clearly funded by Putin’s Russia…quelle surprise!

How could she, I wonder what her family background is.? Obviously her AfD party is funded from Moscow. All countries in Europe have their own hard right politicians who are sponsored by Russia, but fortunately they are in a minority .

According to (AfD) Kay Gottschalk it is Poland that should pay to Germany. The AfD politician accused the Polish state of “being an accomplice to terrorists.” In response, he called for, among other things, a suspension of EU funds for Poland, and according to him, €1.3 trillion should be sufficient as reparations for complicity in the Nord Stream bombing. “My first official decision as Minister of Finance will be to pursue these claims against Poland,” Gottschalk posted on the X platform. At the end of the post, he added: “He who laughs last, laughs best,” and included a Polish flag and a blue heart (the AfD’s color).

📰 Zelenskyy urges Europeans not to expect others to solve their problems, — Neue Zürcher Zeitung

The Swiss newspaper dedicated its front page to the World Economic Forum in Davos, noting that the Ukrainian president brought rhetorical strength and courage to the event. His speech also served as a warning about what is at stake in Europe today.

Zelenskyy is ready for painful compromises and has endured Trump’s slights because he prioritizes Ukraine’s fight for freedom over personal pride. He is not an opportunist, and his address at the WEF inspired the hesitant elite on how to stand against the relentless use of power by the U.S.

🇪🇺🇺🇲Europe is critically dependent on American weapons, and there is no way to get rid of this dependence, — The Economist.

Trump is using this leverage to pressure Europe: the US could even suspend arms purchases for Ukraine.

For Ukraine, this is dangerous: air defenses are depleted, and a halt in supplies of Patriot systems, AIM missiles, and MLRS could have catastrophic consequences for the Armed Forces.

    • And they are perfectly entitled to demand that. I don’t mind at all.
      Which one was it?
In fact I go a step further : I always upload the logo of the content creator, just so that there can be no doubt whatsoever as to the source. Unless anonymous eg : “Reuters Staff”, I always credit the author.
In the case of YouTube, I go to the length of opening the content on Google, purely so I can download the creator’s personal logo; eg Caolan Robinson.
Pretty much all the individual content creators I deal with actually WANT their stuff reposted.
The exceptions would be the big sites like the DT and DM, both of which I am a paid subscriber. If they were to complain I’d have to stop.
However, paywalled articles from them are often uploaded on FB, without censor.
I create original content under my own name for “platform” sites like LI and when it is reposted by another user I am always credited.

  1. You’ve got to be a special kind of stupid to side with fascism and to think that the Taco is an ally or friend. The stupidity in Europe has almost reached levels seen in the south of the U.S.
