Simple geopolitics.

The U.S. and Israel are at war with Iran.
Iran is supported by russia.
But the U.S. and Israel are friendly with russia.

Ukraine is at war with russia. Logically, Ukraine is not friendly with Iran, which supports russia — a country the U.S. is friendly with, while also fighting Iran.

China also supports russia. But the U.S. is not friendly with China. Yet it is friendly with russia. Try not to get confused.

Europe supports Ukraine. The U.S. is not friendly with Europe; instead, it is friendly with Orbán, who opposes Europe and aligns with russia.

Arab monarchies are allied with the U.S. They are attacked by Iran, which is at war with the U.S. Ukraine supports the Arab monarchies, which are attacked by Iran — the same Iran being attacked by Israel, with whom they are not friendly. Still following?

China supports russia, but is quietly consuming it. India opposes China, yet remains friendly with russia, which China supports.

China isn’t really friendly with anyone.

Russia, China and Iran are dictatorships. The USA, Hungary, Israel and India are run by dictator wannabes. Europe are democracies, this makes us so strong that we can afford to discuss and listen to the opposition. Ukraine is a democracy which is struggling with the totally corrupt legacy of Soviet rule. It is really hard to do while fighting a war.

The killer of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska was found to be mentally unfit to stand trial.

The whole story behind Iryna’s murder is tragic. I have so many questions, and I am honestly angry at the entire system that failed.

First, I am angry at our judicial system. How is it possible that a man arrested 14 times — for armed robbery, assault, drugs, and violence — was allowed to roam the streets freely? Fourteen times. That is not a mistake. That is not a second chance. That is a broken system.

It does not matter whether you are a Republican or a Democrat. If someone has a record like that, they should not be back on the streets. Period. Every release was another roll of the dice, and this time it cost Iryna her life. That is unthinkable. That is unacceptable.

Second, I am angry at those who used Iryna’s murder to advance their political agenda. Right after her death, propagandists like Alex Jones, Elon Musk, Tucker Carlson, and others suddenly pretended to care about Ukrainian lives. These same people spent years amplifying russian lies, undermining Ukraine’s fight for survival, and excusing Putin’s terror. But when it became convenient, they discovered their outrage.

At the very same time Iryna was murdered, russia killed 24 Ukrainian pensioners standing in line to receive their payments. Where were the posts about that? Where was the outrage? Silence. Because their “concern” was never real. It is hypocrisy.

Third, I am angry at the silent bystanders. There were people on that train who witnessed the attack. They saw what was happening, and they did nothing. They just sat and watched.

If this is the kind of society we are becoming — one where people are too afraid to step in when violence unfolds in front of them — then we are on a very dark path. A society cannot function if basic human responsibility disappears. Laws matter, institutions matter, but at the most fundamental level, people must be willing to stand up for one another.

Finally, I am angry that we do not take care of people with severe mental illness. There are thousands of Dekarlos Browns walking the streets in America, and the system does nothing.

And do not tell me we do not have the resources. If we can fund wars and increase the defense budget by hundreds of billions, then we can find the resources to address mental health. Get people off the streets. Provide care. Intervene before tragedy happens.

Iryna deserved safety. But it was stolen by a broken system that lets danger walk free, by voices that exploit tragedy for propaganda, and by a society that too often looks away when it matters most.
