In March 2026, 7 new towers with self-propelled anti-aircraft missile-cannon systems (SAMS) “Pantsir” were built around the residence of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in Valdai. This is evidenced by Planet.com satellite images, reports Radio Liberty.

It is noted that the total number of air defense systems around Putin’s Valdai residence has reached 27 units. According to satellite images, the construction of 7 new towers for “Pantsirei” began on March 17. Some of them are already equipped with SAMs.

The journalists noticed that the air defense systems in Valdai are located around Putin’s residence in two rings of large and small diameter, just like the Pantsirei towers around Moscow.

In addition, journalists recalled that earlier more than 20 turrets with large-caliber machine guns, as well as several podiums with Pantsir SAMs, were spotted on the territory and perimeter of the Alabuga special economic zone in Tatarstan, where the Russians produce Geranium drones.
