During this week (March 16–22), the Russian invaders increased the number of assault operations on the front. This increased the losses of the Russian Armed Forces in manpower – in seven days the occupiers suffered more than 8,000 killed and seriously wounded.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday evening. On his Telegram channel, he said that he had held a meeting with Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Andriy Gnatov.
What is known about the situation on the front lines?
The Head of State noted that the enemy has intensified its offensive attempts, taking advantage of more favorable weather. “As a result, the only tangible result for the Russian army was an increase in their losses,” Zelensky said.
Meanwhile, the Russians have replaced some of their brigade commanders because the command has finally figured out “where their units are actually located on the front and how this differs from official reports.” The President of Ukraine is sure that this will not help the occupiers.
There have been no significant changes in positions in the Donetsk region over the past week. The enemy is trying to advance from the state border in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The destruction of Russian units that are doing this continues.
“In the Oleksandrivka direction, active actions of our assault and landing units continue – thank you to every soldier. We separately noted the accuracy of our DeepStrike and outlined further frameworks. We agreed on a number of new operations. Glory to Ukraine!” – Zelensky summed up the results of the meeting.

– The aggressor country continues its active offensive in the east and is concentrating its main efforts on the Donetsk region. The enemy expects to capture the city of Kostyantynivka as early as May .
