On the night of April 2, unrest again gripped the aggressor country. Early in the morning,
an oil refinery (ORF) in the city of Ufa came under attack.
As a result of the impact, a fire broke out at the facility and thick black smoke is visible. This is reported by the Telegram channel “Supernova+”.
What is known
Locals are also actively posting videos of a fire in one of the high-rise buildings. It was probably hit by a Russian air defense missile that was trying to shoot down an air target flying towards the refinery.
They also write that people are not allowed into the territory of the attacked facility, so the Russians have to film the consequences of the strike from hiding places.
The Telegram channel “KyberBoroshno” analyzed the video of the fire at the refinery and confirmed that the strike was carried out in the area of the AVT-5 installation of the Bashneft-Novoil enterprise.
“Very active combustion is taking place, and a large mass of black smoke is also being released. The AVT unit is the primary oil processing unit, which is key in the production process, and without it, further processing is impossible,” the report says.
What is known about the attacked object?
Bashneft-UNPZ (until 2012, Ufa Oil Refinery) is a branch of the Bashneft oil company and one of the four key oil refineries in Ufa, forming the industrial base of the city. The plant produces gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, and sulfur.
Raw materials for processing come mainly from different regions. About 50% is oil from Western Siberia, about 40% from Bashkiria, and another 10% is gas condensate.

As OBOZ.UA reported, a series of drone strikes were carried out on a number of oil refining and port facilities in Russia between March 26 and 29. The attacks took place in the Leningrad and Yaroslavl regions, as well as in the Ust-Luga region, with Ukrainian soldiers using more than a hundred drones in total.
