
Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Pyongyang on a state visit. At the airport, he was met by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un at the plane’s exit. As Interfax notes, upon reaching the motorcade, Putin and Kim Jong-un began to discuss something, after which the Russian president invited the DPRK leader to his presidential Aurus. Both leaders tried to let each other into the car first, as follows from the published videos. Putin’s visit to North Korea will last two days. On June 19, Putin is scheduled to hold talks in various formats, including a personal meeting with Kim Jong-un. Moscow and Pyongyang plan to sign a new Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between Russia and the DPRK.
