Poroshenko in the Rada harshly criticized the authorities’ attempt to let the corruption scandal slide and called for the resignation of the “Ali Baba government”

During the statement of the “European Solidarity” in the Verkhovna Rada, Petro Poroshenko harshly criticized the authorities’ attempt to “let off steam” of the corruption scandal by symbolically dismissing two ministers. The Fifth President stated that, against the backdrop of the country’s challenges, an urgent reboot of the parliamentary coalition and the appointment of a new government are necessary.

Yesterday, we heard the continuation of the publication of the so-called “Mindich tapes”. Yesterday, at the Temporary Investigation Commission meeting, we heard “Electronics” from “Fire Point”, which is embezzling funds from the defense budget. Yesterday, we finally heard about “Ali Baba.” I went to the artificial intelligence section and looked up who Ali Baba is. I will read it verbatim: “A character from an Arabian fairy tale accidentally learns the spell to the treasury and becomes very rich.” In addition, “the name Ali Baba is used as a pseudonym for the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine in connection with a corruption scandal.” I cannot but agree with artificial intelligence,” Poroshenko noted.

“Ukraine has been experiencing the greatest threat to its existence since February 24, 2022. What issues need to be resolved now? This is an issue of the Ukrainian people’s trust in the government and the Verkhovna Rada. This is an issue of trust between partners and the state of Ukraine. And this is the issue of the front’s trust in the rear. And you want to resolve the issue of trust with these two pathetic scapegoats? When it has been proven that hundreds of millions of dollars and billions of hryvnias were embezzled, and the plan to continue embezzling by Ali Baba’s team and forty government robbers, five or six managers? You are leading to the destruction of the Verkhovna Rada, the destruction of power, and the destruction of the Ukrainian state,” Poroshenko was indignant.

“European Solidarity” has started collecting signatures for the resignation of the government. Why the government, you ask? And what will you do if you dismiss two ministers, and there are five more on tape? Will you meet again? And what will you do with Finmonitoring, Pronin, who instructs how to bypass financial intelligence? And what will you do with the Antimonopoly Committee, which is being investigated by NABU, and the charges have been brought against it? And what will you do with the members of the supervisory boards, who are embezzling the state budget, stealing money from servicemen who are dying at the front? And what will you ultimately do with the front, which is underfunded? What are you going to do with the budget of the corrupt government, which is aimed at supporting the activities of the Mindichs, Ali Babas, and other bandits? What will you do with the State Bureau of Investigation? Or, as it is called on the tapes, the “Bazaar-Station”, which receives instructions to persecute the NABU, the SAPO, Poroshenko, and public activists. What will you ultimately do with your own conscience next?”, – asked the opposition leader.

“Today, the Lord gives us a chance to restore trust, a chance to form a coalition of national unity, to meet with Zelensky and start an honest dialogue of national salvation. This is a chance for everyone,” Poroshenko noted.

He thanked the people’s deputies who signed the demand for the government’s resignation. “Today, we will not let these two ministers vote. We responsibly declare that we will not vote for an attempt to let off steam, to preserve the corruption vertical. We call for a decisive end to the Ali Baba government, the formation of a coalition, the redistribution of funds for the front, the restoration of trust among partners and the people, and the saving of Ukraine. I believe in you, and I call for signatures,” Petro Poroshenko called.
