On Tuesday, March 31, Russia lost an An-26 military transport aircraft .

This is reported by the enemy’s pro-war publics . It is reported that it was transporting personnel from the aggressor country. Previously, there were 30 people on board.

In turn, the propaganda resource ” RIA-Novosti “, citing a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, reports that the plane was performing a scheduled flight over temporarily occupied Crimea when contact with it was lost.

The fate of the crew of the enemy An-26 remains unknown.

The Russian Defense Ministry noted that there was no “shock impact” on the plane. Search and rescue teams were sent to the probable scene of the incident.

Russia lost a Su-34

Earlier it became known that the Russian troops lost a Su-34 fighter-bomber .

Pro-war media outlets in the aggressor country suggested that the plane may have crashed while repelling a drone attack. Presumably, the pilot died, while the navigator managed to survive.

Instead, Ukrainian media admitted that the Russians could have lost a fighter-bomber during a combat sortie. The enemy uses the Su-34 as a carrier of guided bombs.Advertising

It should be noted that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not inform about the shooting down of an enemy fighter jet.

Russian occupation forces have probably lost another Su-34 fighter-bomber , the relevant information was shared by Russian blogger Fighterbomber .

Russian Z-channels also write that the plane may have crashed while repelling Ukrainian drone attacks. The pilot was likely killed, but the navigator survived.

The military portal “Military”  suggested that the plane could have been lost during a combat mission as a carrier of guided bombs.

The exact circumstances are currently unknown, as the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Air Force of Ukraine have not confirmed the information.

Russian aircraft losses

Recall that on the night of September 25, Ukrainian defenders destroyed a Su-34 in the Zaporizhia direction, which was launching KABs – including directing them towards the city of Zaporizhia.

Experts said that the defenders could have set up an ambush , because the pilot acted according to a pattern, without encountering resistance. In addition, it is possible that the pilot tried to hit a dummy Patriot air defense system and thus managed to shoot it down.
