This is a key installation at the Bashneft-Novoil refinery in Ufa; without it, the company may lose the ability to process Russian oil.

This refinery was already under attack on September 15, 2025, when the complex and expensive AVT-6 primary oil processing unit was damaged.

The day before, the head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, stated that on the night of April 2, Ufa was attacked by drones, resulting in a fire in the industrial zone on the territory of the enterprise.

According to Astra, footage taken by eyewitnesses shows that the fire broke out at the Bashneft-Novoil refinery.

This oil refinery produces high-octane gasoline, motor and industrial oils, aviation and jet fuel, diesel fuel, bitumen, and other petroleum products. The plant’s capacity is about 7.3 million tons of oil per year.

As OBOZ.UA reported, explosions were heard in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation  on April 2. Russians complained about a drone attack.

New details have also emerged about the results of attacks on Russia’s oil infrastructure
