I’m extremely excited to announce that today I sat down with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Global events have taken a dramatic turn in recent weeks. War has broken out in Iran, oil prices are surging, disinformation is spreading at extraordinary speed, Viktor Orbán is preparing for another election campaign, and the geopolitical landscape seems to be shifting by the day. It felt like exactly the right moment to sit down and talk about all of it.
So I asked myself who better to discuss these events with than the man leading a country at the centre of the largest land invasion in Europe since World War II.
In this interview, I asked President Zelenskyy about the changing global situation as we move further into 2026 and what it could mean for the future. We discussed reports that Donald Trump has asked Ukraine for help with drone interceptor technology, the escalating conflict involving Iran, the security situation in the Middle East, and whether the world is drifting toward a much wider war.
We also spoke about Viktor Orbán’s upcoming election campaign and the rise of disinformation across Europe, and I asked Zelenskyy how the past years of war have affected him personally.

As for Zel, I was in Ukraine during Zel’s campaign in 2019. I was 100% behind Poro and could not understand why everyone I spoke to wanted this Mr Bean-type character as president.
Well we all know now that Ukrainians know best. They chose the right man. The finest leader since Churchill, who was also frozen out by the Americans before they eventually did the right thing.
