The Kremlin built new towers with radars and air defense systems, increasing their number by 43 units.

The Russian occupiers have completed a large-scale expansion of the air defense ring around Moscow. The new engineering structures are designed to close critical gaps in the city’s security system from Ukrainian missile and drone strikes , which indicates the effectiveness of the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Military portal reports .
The publication refers to a map published by OSINT researcher jembob on the social network X , based on analysis of satellite images and official monitoring reports. If you compare the two maps over the past five months, it becomes clear that 43 new specialized towers have been built around Moscow since 2025.

Engineers are using high embankments, concrete slabs and metal structures to raise anti-aircraft systems above the ground. Now Russian air defense calculations hope to spot Ukrainian drones and missiles flying at ultra-low altitudes earlier, the publication writes.
However, the improved visibility comes at a high price: on these installations, Pantsir-S1s completely lose their mobility. The system, which should quickly change position after a shot, turns into a stationary target, notes Militarny. However, the command of the occupiers has to take such a risk in order to somehow stop Ukrainian long-range strikes, which are increasingly penetrating deep into the enemy’s rear.
New successful long-range strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces against the Russian Federation
We have already reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the frigate “Admiral Essen” from the Russian Black Sea Fleet. This is an important target, as the enemy used this ship to carry out missile strikes on Ukraine. Currently, the frigate will be unusable for its intended purpose for some time due to the damage it received.
And the Ukrainian Defense Forces also struck a powerful blow at Russian facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea. They hit air defense, an amphibious assault boat, and an Orion UAV base. The Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to hit three Russian Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun systems at once.
Meanwhile, Volodymyr Zelenskyy told what Ukraine uses to strike at 1,000 kilometers or more . All long-range capabilities that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have were created in Ukraine. The President noted that Ukraine did not receive weapons from other countries that have a range of more than 200 or 250 kilometers.
