Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the headquarters of a missile division in occupied Crimea.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the operation was carried out on February 23.
The division of the 15th Separate Coastal Missile Brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet was hit.
The division is armed with Bastion missile systems.
Bastion is a coastal missile system designed to destroy surface ships of various classes and types as part of landing forces, convoys, ship and aircraft carrier strike groups, as well as individual ships and ground radio-contrast targets in conditions of intense fire and radio-electronic countermeasures.

After the start of a full-scale war against Ukraine, Russia began to use this anti-ship complex to strike ground targets.
It is from the Bastion complexes that the Russians launch Zircon missiles, which reach Ukrainian cities in a matter of minutes. They have already attacked the Kyiv region several times.
For several years, Ukrainian intelligence officers have been actively searching for Bastion missile systems with Zircon missiles in occupied Crimea.
Additional damage
The General Staff also added that on February 23, the Defense Forces struck an ammunition depot near the village of Nyzhnia Krynka.
In addition, a warehouse of the occupiers’ material and technical resources was struck near the village of Velyka Novosilka in the same region.

Also, in the area of the village of Pokrovka (temporarily occupied territory of the Mykolaiv region), the command post of the enemy’s airborne assault regiment was hit.
“The enemy’s losses and the final extent of the damage caused are being clarified,” the General Staff reported.
