On the night of March 19, kamikaze drones carried out a massive attack on the Stavropol Territory of Russia. The target of the attack was the chemical enterprise “Nevinnomyssk Azot”.
A series of explosions have rocked an industrial zone, according to the monitoring Telegram channel Exilenova+.
New explosions in Russia
An air raid alert was issued in the Stavropol region at around 2 a.m., and within minutes the first explosions were heard in Nevinnomyssk. Local residents complained that dozens of powerful explosions were heard in the sky over the region during the night.
Stavropol Krai Governor Vladimir Vladimirov claims that the massive air attack was allegedly repelled, and writes that “there was no damage to critical infrastructure. “
At the same time, local officials complained that the facades and glazing of several buildings in Nevinnomyssk were damaged, and relevant departments are working at the sites where the UAV debris fell.
The Russian Defense Ministry also confirmed that drones attacked the Stavropol Territory overnight. The anti-terrorism department claims that 28 UAVs were allegedly destroyed in the skies over the region.
According to the FIRMS platform, which uses satellites to monitor fires in near real time, four fire outbreaks have been recorded on the territory of the Nevinnomyssky Azot chemical enterprise.

What is known about the company?
Nevinnomyssk Azot is one of the largest chemical plants in Russia. Despite its status as a producer of civilian fertilizers, the company is a critical element of the military-industrial complex.
The plant acts as a key “chemical hub” supplying raw materials for the production of explosives and rocket fuel. The plant produces more than 1 million tons of ammonia and about 1.4 million tons of ammonium nitrate annually. These substances are the basic components for the creation of artillery shells and air bombs.
The enterprise synthesizes melanin, acetic acid, methanol, and potassium nitrate. According to the Center for Countering Disinformation of Ukraine, these dual-purpose products are used in the production of high-explosive and reactive charges, grenade launcher rounds, hexogen, and octogen.
The enterprise supplies components to the Iskra machine-building enterprise, which develops and produces solid-fuel rocket engines for strategic and tactical missile systems.

As a reminder, in 2025, after a Ukrainian drone attack, the Nevinnomyssk Azot chemical plant in the Stavropol Territory (Russia) stopped its operations. At that time, the enterprise’s anti-drone defense was damaged.
As OBOZ.UA reported, on the night of March 19, numerous explosions were heard in temporarily occupied Sevastopol , and the local Gauleiter complained about an “attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.” One of the military units of the occupiers was hit.
