Malyuk summed up the work of the SBU: “I leave with my head held high”

Hero of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Vasyl Malyuk summed up the work of the Security Service of Ukraine in his column for Channel 24, talking about the most high-profile special operations and the results of the fight against the enemy.

Malyuk noted that since he headed the SBU , “the service has continuously beaten the aggressor – on land, in the air, on water and even under water.” He emphasized that thanks to the SBU, the Ukrainian word “cotton” has acquired a new meaning: “It burned, is burning and will burn until the rashists stop the war against Ukraine.”

He named the following as his main achievements:

special operation “Web” against Russian strategic aviation ;
three effective strikes on the Crimean Bridge;
the destruction of 11 Russian ships by Sea Baby naval drones and the Sub Sea Baby submarine;
the destruction of over 2,200 enemy tanks, 3,979 armored vehicles, 4,276 artillery systems, 310 MLRS, 649 air defense systems , and 885 electronic warfare/electronic warfare systems;
the capture of 102 Russian servicemen in a combined drone-assault operation in Kursk;
detection of 128 agent networks and about 3 thousand traitors on the territory of Ukraine.

Malyuk also emphasized the work of the SBU to neutralize FSB agents in cassocks and cleanse the service of unscrupulous employees.

“I walk with my head proudly raised and know that I can look people straight in the eye,” he noted, adding that the duties of the chairman have been assigned to the head of Alfa, Yevheniy Khmara.

What preceded it?

On January 12, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Defense did not support the President’s proposal to dismiss the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Malyuk.

On January 13, the Verkhovna Rada Committee reviewed the decision and supported the dismissal of Vasyl Malyuk from the post of Head of the Security Service of Ukraine.

Release of the Kid

People’s Deputy Honcharenko reported on January 5 that Malyuk had written a letter of resignation from the post of head of the SBU.
As a reminder, it was previously reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky plans to dismiss the head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Malyuk and appoint him to other positions.
Censor.NET sources in government circles told us that there are currently attempts to remove Malyuk from the post of head of the SBU, but this issue has not yet been resolved.
Military personnel, MPs, and activists came out in support of Malyuk.
Zelensky met with Malyuk and suggested that he focus on combat work in the SBU.
On January 9, the Rada received a proposal from Zelenskyy to dismiss Malyuk .
