He also threatened Europe that Russia would respond to the confiscation of frozen assets or the deployment of European troops on Ukrainian territory.

“We will respond. And we are ready for it,” he noted.

At the same time, he said that “Russia is not going to fight with Europe, and there are no such thoughts.”

Lavrov also stated that US President Donald Trump is allegedly the only Western leader who understands the root causes of the situation in Ukraine.
