Key energy facility of the Russian Federation: drones “destroyed” the Astrakhan gas processing plant (photo)

Ukrainian drones attacked Russia’s Astrakhan gas processing plant. The facility burst into flames. Flames are visible for several kilometers.

The attack was first reported by Russian public groups, and later confirmed by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council, Andrey Kovalenko.

“This is one of the key energy facilities of the Russian Federation, ensuring the processing of gas condensate and the production of gasoline, diesel fuel and more,” noted Kovalenko.

According to him, the plant influences the military-industrial complex of Russia, since the fuel and energy sector is the main source of financing for the defense sector.
