Former FBI Director Robert Mueller has died at the age of 81, the MS NOW television channel reported .
According to the channel, Mueller had suffered from Parkinson’s disease for many years. He was the US special counsel investigating Russian interference in the 2016 US election, and in July 2018 he indicted 12 Russian citizens on election interference charges.
US President Donald Trump reacted to this news. On his page on the social network Truth Social, he rejoiced at the death of the former FBI director.
“Robert Mueller just died. Well, I’m glad he’s dead. Now he can no longer harm innocent people!” Trump wrote.
