The explosion of the Belgorod Reservoir dam has negatively affected the combat capability of Russian occupation forces near Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region. This has forced the enemy to adjust its plans, which gives Ukraine the opportunity to strengthen its defenses.
At the same time, this is unlikely to render the Russians completely incapable of fighting. This was announced on TV on October 29 by Viktor Tregubov, head of the communications department of the Joint Forces Group.
“This terrible natural disaster helped somewhat in the Volchansky direction, somewhat hindered Russian plans, and in war, time, and time for precise planning, means a lot. And here they, let’s say, have to change plans on the fly. Will this completely save the situation, or will it make them completely unfit to fight? Well, probably not, but it will most likely affect them enough for the defense in the Volchansky direction, let’s say, to be better prepared and face fewer challenges for us,” he said.
According to the spokesman, the enemy is currently pressing in all directions of the front – throughout the Kharkiv region, including Vovchansk and Kupyansk, and in the Lymansk direction.
