Ukrainian outlet reported that Andrii Biletsky, commander of Ukraine’s 3rd Army Corps, argued that expanding the use of ground robotic platforms could ease pressure on frontline troops as the battlefield becomes harder for soldiers to move through and sustain themselves.
That vision is already being reflected in the growing operational use of ground robots across the front.
Ukraine’s military logged more than 7,000 ground robot missions in a single month, underscoring how unmanned systems are becoming a routine part of frontline operations rather than a niche capability.
Most of those deployments were used to move supplies and equipment to exposed positions, allowing troops to reduce direct exposure along contested sections of the front while sustaining daily logistics.
