Since the evening of Wednesday, December 17, there has been unrest in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. Explosions have been heard in Rostov-on-Don and neighboring Bataysk, which were attacked by UAVs and, previously, missiles.
The drone attack on Rostov was confirmed by the city’s mayor, Alexander Skryabin. He claimed that it was repelled over the city’s Western residential area.
However, Scriabin later announced a fire on a tanker that was damaged near the berth in the ZZHM as a result of a UAV attack.
“The emergency services are extinguishing the fire on the tanker. A spill of oil products was avoided. Unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries. The information is being verified,” he wrote.
A fire also broke out in Bataysk after the explosions . Locals reported that power went out in some settlements.
Rostov Region Governor Yuriy Slyusar said that four residents of Bataysk needed medical attention.
As OBOZ.UA reported, on the night of Wednesday, December 17, unrest again gripped the territory of the aggressor country, the Russian Federation. At least two regions – Saratov Oblast and Krasnodar Krai – were attacked by UAVs .
Later, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that the Defense Forces of Ukraine had carried out another successful operation on the territory of the aggressor country. As a result, the Slavyansky refinery in the city of Slavyansk-on-Kuban in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation was hit .
In addition, a hit on the territory of the Nikolaevskaya oil depot in the Rostov region and a field artillery depot in the Luhansk region were confirmed.
