The Serebryansky Forest — or as the soldiers call it, the “Enchanted Forest” — is possibly the most dangerous forest in the world.

For almost four years, it has been a zone of relentless fighting, where russian sabotage groups and Ukrainian drone units clash every day.

Our correspondent Mykyta Ilchenko spent four days deep inside this forest with the soldiers of the Signum Battalion, a unit operating fiber-optic drones — one of the most precise and daring weapons on the frontline.

This report shows how hard it is to survive in the Enchanted Forest, how Ukrainian nature has turned into a battlefield, and how Signum holds the line.
