On the evening of Tuesday, February 10, the Russian city of Volgograd was thrown into disarray by a drone attack. The Lukoil oil refinery was once again the target.

The company in question is Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka. Russians have complained online that a very large number of UAVs were flying in its direction.

Following the explosions, a fire broke out at the refinery, visible from afar. A column of smoke rose into the sky.

Drones have previously targeted this refinery several times , causing fires or production shutdowns. This year, the refinery was attacked for the first time.

According to a writer for the Dnipro Osint ⟨Garbuz⟩ channel, the oil refinery was attacked using dozens of UAVs. Preliminary reports indicate that fuel and lubricant storage tanks on the plant’s premises were damaged.

“The plant has also activated the so-called ‘purge’, and the flare lines are operating at full capacity,” the statement said.
