Soldiers of the “Tymur” special forces unit killed and wounded over 800 Russian invaders during a special operation behind enemy lines in the Sumy region.
The press service of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine announced this.
The Intelligence agency conducted a series of raids and sabotage actions in the rear of the Russian group of troops during a special operation aimed at stopping the enemy’s advance in the Sumy direction.
The scouts reported that in close combat and with the support of artillery and attack drones, they killed at least 334 Russian soldiers and wounded 550 others.
The operation halted the enemy’s advance and disrupted the supply of food and ammunition to their troops.
The operation involved helicopters for the transfer of special forces, as well as Ukraine’s own artillery unit, the Art Division, which provided fire cover, in particular with 155-mm Bohdana guns.
WarArchive’s geo-reconnaissance researcher determined that one of the operational zones of the Ukrainian special forces was located near the village of Oleksiyivka.
Presumably, it was in this area that the scouts managed to enter the enemy’s rear, clear the invaders’ positions, and gain a foothold in new positions.
