Katie Miller, the wife of US President Donald Trump’s advisor and deputy White House chief of staff for policy and homeland security Stephen Miller, posted a map of Greenland in the colors of the American flag. Danish Ambassador to the US Jesper Møller Sørensen reacted.

Yes, in her post on social media X with a map of Greenland, Miller wrote only the word “Soon.”

In turn, Danish Ambassador Jesper Möller Sørensen criticized Miller’s publication in his post on the social network X.
“Just a friendly reminder to the United States and the Kingdom of Denmark: we are close allies and must continue to work together as such. The security of the United States is also the security of Greenland and Denmark. Greenland is already a member of NATO. The Kingdom of Denmark and the United States work together to ensure security in the Arctic. The Kingdom of Denmark has significantly stepped up its efforts on Arctic security – in 2025 alone, we have allocated $13.7 billion to be deployed in the Arctic and the North Atlantic. Because we take our shared security seriously. And yes, we expect full respect for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Denmark,” he wrote.

What preceded it?
- Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced the appointment of Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry as the United States special envoy to Greenland.
- Denmark has appealed to the United States to adhere to the principle of respect for the country’s territorial integrity following President Donald Trump’s decision to appoint a special envoy to Greenland.
US plans for Greenland
- Recall, in early January, Trump said that Denmark should give up Greenland to protect the “free world.”
- Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen cannot imagine and does not believe that the United States would use military or economic force to control Greenland.
- Danish Foreign Minister Rasmussen, in turn, stated that Greenland could become independent if its residents wanted it, but it would not be a US state.
- CNN writes that Danish officials fear that US President Donald Trump is much more serious about acquiring Greenland than he was in his first term.
- Earlier, Greenland Prime Minister Mute Egede said that the island does not want to be American or Danish, but seeks independence, noting that this is nothing new.
- On March 5, Trump said that the United States is ready to accept Greenland as part of its territory if the people are “in favor”: “We’ll get it ‘one way or another.'”
- In November, the Greenlandic parliament passed a law restricting foreigners from buying property on the island, amid growing U.S. interest in purchasing property in Greenland.

So? Just some bums dreaming pipe dreams while i keep boycotting US brands. 🤣
Maybe overlaying a map of russia over the US might ruffle a few feathers.
I’m glad the Danish are starting to build some defenses in Greenland. Considering NATO’s performance in Ukraine, I wouldn’t count on them for anything except to announce press releases when the Moskali begin another special military op there.
