BREAKING NEWS: Tens of thousands of people are without heat due to targeted Russian strikes on the Kherson Thermal Power Plant.

As a result of shelling by Russian occupiers, the Kherson Thermal Power Plant , which provided heat to tens of thousands of residents, has been disabled and is no longer operating . This was reported by Serhiy Koretsky, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz Ukrainy, the company that owns the Kherson Thermal Power Plant .

“Over the past 24 hours, Russians have been deliberately shelling the Kherson Thermal Power Plant with artillery and drones. It was the only source of heat for tens of thousands of the city’s residents,” the statement reads.

According to Koretsky, Russian terrorists want to deprive power companies of the ability to repair equipment. The current heat situation in Kherson is one of the most critical, he emphasizes.

“We’re working with local authorities to do everything possible to provide Kherson residents with alternative heating sources. Measures are being taken to ensure a backup supply,” the manager reports.
