According to Zelensky, pressure on Moscow is working.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia is now likely more inclined to a ceasefire . He made the statement during an evening video address following a conversation with US President Donald Trump.

“On the way from our brigades here in Sumy Oblast, I spoke with President Trump. This conversation took place after the visit of US Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff to Moscow. Our common position with our partners is absolutely clear and transparent – the war must end. The war must end fairly,” Zelensky shared.
The President of Ukraine noted that, judging by what was said in Moscow, Russia is now more inclined to a ceasefire.
“The pressure on them works. The main thing is that they do not deceive us in detail. Neither us, nor the United States,” Zelensky added.
