The country is the world’s second largest exporter of liquefied gas after the United States.
Qatar has completely halted its production of liquefied natural gas and will not be able to resume normal production and exports for at least a month, Reuters reported, citing sources familiar with the situation .

The main Ras Laffan plant in Qatar shut down on Wednesday, with preliminary estimates that it will not be able to resume production of supercooled fuel for at least two weeks, sources said.
It is also worth adding that after launch, it will take at least another two weeks to reach full capacity.
QatarEnergy, which is the national oil and gas company, did not respond to a Reuters request for comment.
