Adam Kadyrov , the infamous son of Chechen ruler Ramzan Kadyrov, was seriously wounded in a car accident and hospitalized in serious condition, media reports citing sources.

The Chechen opposition Telegram channel NIYSO was the first to report the news . Citing its sources, the outlet wrote that “the motorcade, as usual, was moving at high speed” when it “suddenly encountered an obstacle.”

“As a result, cars began crashing into each other, so we are receiving information that there are quite a few casualties,” the statement said.

The accident reportedly occurred in the very center of Grozny, leading to the closure of numerous surrounding streets. The new republican hospital was also reportedly closed to the public “for the sake of one person in serious condition; he is being resuscitated and prepared for transport to Moscow.”

The information is generally confirmed by the publication “Kavkaz Realii” (a project of “Radio Liberty”), citing two sources.

“The roads to the hospital are closed because Adam was taken there. He’s unconscious in intensive care, they say. We don’t know for sure what’s wrong with Kadyrov’s son,” said a source from Grozny.
