A British air base in Cyprus was attacked by Iranian drones.

As the Daily Mail noted , this happened shortly after British Prime Minister Keir Starmer authorized the US to launch “defensive” strikes on Iranian missile sites from this base.

Around midnight, an explosion was heard at the Limassol air base and a “security threat” was declared, the newspaper reported. The military was ordered to immediately return to their homes and take cover, and to await further instructions.

According to the Cyprus Mail , the British air base was attacked by an Iranian drone. According to unconfirmed reports, it could have been a Shahed 136.

The UK Ministry of Defence has confirmed that an air base in Cyprus has been hit by a drone, prompting the announcement of precautionary measures at the facility.

As the BBC learned , no one was injured in the alleged attack.

In addition to Cyprus, Iran attacked the US Incirlik base in Turkey. Turkish media reported this, but there is no confirmation yet.
