As a result of the Russian “shaheed” strike on Kyiv, according to the latest data from local authorities, 16 people were injured. In addition, data has emerged about two deaths.

As reported by the mayor of the capital, Vitaliy Klitschko, 10 victims were hospitalized, the others were helped on the spot.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMMA), Timur Tkachenko, reported on the deaths. “Unfortunately, we have two deaths. These people were killed by the Russians. This is a terrible loss. My condolences to their families and loved ones,” he wrote.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs added that two women were killed. “Two women died in the Podilskyi district: a 68-year-old resident of the capital and a 22-year-old police corporal, an employee of the metro police,” the report said.

The National Police detailed that in the Podilskyi district, debris hit a dormitory, resulting in the deaths of women and the injury of 10 more people there.

The National Police also spoke about the scale of the destruction in the city. In particular, residential buildings, dormitories, service stations, a garage cooperative, vehicles, shopping center premises, roadways, and tram tracks were damaged.

“As of 8:20 a.m., destruction and falling debris were recorded in Holosiivskyi, Darnytskyi, Desnyanskyi, Dniprovskyi, Obolonskyi, Podilskyi, Solomyanskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts,” the report says.

In addition to the capital, the Kyiv region was also affected. According to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, a 51-year-old man was wounded in the Obukhiv district. He was hospitalized.
