The version of an explosive device planted under the car, which detonated a few seconds after the car started moving, is being considered.

A car explosion in southern Moscow on Monday morning, December 22, seriously injured the driver. A high-ranking Russian general may have been injured in the incident.
According to Russian Telegram channels Baza , Mash, and 112, the incident occurred at around 7:00 a.m. in the Orekhovo-Borisovo area in a parking lot near a residential building on Yaseneva Street.
The driver managed to drive a few meters, after which his Kia Sorento exploded. The detonation also damaged neighboring cars.
It is known that a 56-year-old man was behind the wheel. He was hospitalized in extremely serious condition with shrapnel wounds to his legs and a fractured facial bone. The identity of the injured person, who was in the passenger seat, has not been officially confirmed.
However, information appeared on the Internet that the wounded person could have been Major General of the Russian Army Fanil Sarvarov, head of the operational training department of the Russian Armed Forces.

As the Dozhd TV channel found out from database leaks, Sarvarov does indeed own a 2013 Kia Sorento, the exact model whose explosion was reported by channels close to the security forces. In addition, he owns a quarter of an apartment on Yaseneva Street, near which the explosion occurred.
From 1992 to 2003, Fanil Sarvarov participated in hostilities in Chechnya and the Ossetian-Ingush conflict, and in 2015–2016, in the Russian army’s operation in Syria.
Russian officials are not commenting on the cause of the explosion at this time. However, the SHOT Telegram channel reports that they are considering a version of an explosive device planted under a car that detonated a few seconds after the car started moving.
Updated at 9:08 AM. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation officially confirmed that Major General Fanil Sarvarov was in the car. He died as a result of the explosion.
“In the morning, an explosive device installed under the bottom of a car was detonated.
As a result of the injuries received, the head of the operational training department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov, died,” the report says.
Following this fact, the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Moscow has initiated a criminal case on the fact of “murder committed in a generally dangerous manner.”
Various versions of the murder are being worked out. One is the version “connected with the organization of the crime by Ukrainian special services.”
